The music follows a theme of being a very small individual in a big city, with all the familiar feelings
of loneliness and insignificance but also with an underlying sense of optimism and hopefulness.

Little Apple
Inspired by Big Day for a Little Apple by Rebecka Edlund, Little Apple tells the story of an
apple that is picked and exported to be eaten somewhere far away. From the apple's perpective,
things seem strange in this unknown world a long way from home.

Lobster's Lament
A nostalgic look back on a band of friends from times gone by. It seemed like the best thing at a
time, but sure enough like everything, it came to an end. I feel as though I’ve drawn on a lot of
my favourite influences for this song, from James Taylor, David Bowie to The Beatles.

Doctor, doctor!
This song has a more electronic edge to anything I’ve put out so far and I’m really excited about
it. It channels frustration from the all too relatable predicament of ‘doom scrolling’. It features
lots of playing about on synthesisers, the most prominent of which is a siren synth which I programmed
on an Arduino.

The Moon Song
This is a special song to me. When I moved to London, I found it bizarre that you could hardly see
the stars for all the light pollution. I had the first line in my head for several months before the
rest of the song came to me one evening... It’s funny how songwriting works sometimes.

The record is a product of the first time collaborating with producer and musician, Josh Cobb.
Together, Josh and I recorded live takes at CTR-P studios and added overdubbeds. Many friends
also played: Sophia Bartlett, Sebastian Bloom, Phoebe Harty and Dougle James.
The live piano was recorded at ZigZag Woolwich (special thanks to Sox, Alexander M Sokolow) and the EP
was mastered by Nick Powell in The Pickles Cube at Unit 9.
The album artwork was captured by the one and only Rebecka Edlund.
It will be released under my own label, Stephenson’s.
