I am largely self-taught and have been fascinated by music from a very young age.

I am adaptable and able to tailor my lessons according to what inspires student, for example by learning their favourite songs, writing music and understanding music theory. Music exams can be a great way of monitoring progress but I believe they are not necessary for a valuable learning experience.
